On Split, pick Trim leftover music to cut stretches where only the band was playing. Sung phrases and true rests stay. A video shows a warning: the picture will jump or end suddenly, and Voice only is shorter than Original in Player.

Hum the leftover music keeps the full length and adds a hummed lead that follows the tune in those quiet stretches. It is not a human singer. Tokens stay the same.

Player in the header shows a grid of files you can play. Click a tile to watch or listen. Play on Jobs or the job page still opens that file. Gallery takes you back to the grid.

On a small screen the gallery puts more tiles in a row, so each picture is smaller.

On a tablet or laptop the gallery next to the player uses smaller tiles, so those pictures do not fill the column.

On a small phone the file plays across the screen. The name sits under it. The rest of the gallery is a list of small tiles under that, like a video you opened on YouTube.

Player in the header opens a gallery of files you can play. Pick one on the right. Previous and Next sit on the left and right of the player. Open Source on the player bar for Original and Voice only. Voice only is the vocals file — a video keeps its picture. Jobs and the job page also have Play. If that version is not set up for instant play, the player says it may wait until more of the file loads.

Player plays both audio and video. A video upload gets a still when the file is saved. A YouTube video uses that video’s picture. Audio files keep the audio icon in the gallery and on the player.

When a file in Player finishes, the next one in the gallery starts. Play next on the gallery or the player bar turns that off. This browser remembers the choice.

Open a video in Player and it starts playing. The browser can still wait for a click if it blocks sound until you press play.

New mp4, m4v, mov, and m4a vocals files are set up so playback can start before the file finishes loading. On YouTube, Suggested video prefers MP4 when it fits your plan, and a merged MP4 download stays MP4.

Splits from before stills existed get a picture in the Player gallery when the original is still stored. YouTube jobs use that video’s picture.

Voice-only mp4, m4v, mov, and m4a files from earlier splits are rewritten so playback can start before the file finishes loading. YouTube MP4 downloads we saved get the same treatment. Files you uploaded stay as they were.

Cast is gone. Open Source on the player bar to switch Original and Voice only. Previous and Next sit on the left and right of the player.

If the first picture is almost black, Demuze tries two later moments in the file before it keeps a still.

Each file starts on Voice only when that file exists. Open Source if you want the original. A job that is still downloading opens the original until vocals are ready.

Opening Player from the header shows the gallery and the selected file. A missing job in the list no longer brings down the page.

If you pop the video out and Play next is on, the next file plays in that same picture-in-picture window instead of going dark.

When a worker is free, it rewrites older voice-only mp4 files so playback can start before the file finishes loading. That rewrite was stopping after the first file.

The header chevron always holds Settings, Admin, What's new, and Help. A Profile button replaces the email in the bar; open it for your address and Sign out.

Cleanup in the header opens Reclaim space. Select originals, vocals audio, or vocals results, or use Auto select. Choose oldest first, largest first, smallest first, or optimal. If a new upload needs room, Split warns you and can show the files that will be removed.

An operator can limit Continue with Google to listed emails or email domains. If either list is set, every other Google account is turned off. An address at an allowed domain can sign in; otherwise a listed email can. If yours is not on those lists, Sign in says that Google account is not allowed.

On Jobs or the job page, Resume job appears when a failed or stopped split can still run — the original file is still stored, or it is a YouTube job that can download that format again. That puts the same job back in line. Tokens are reserved again when a worker starts. If you already paid 50 for a stored YouTube file, that stays and only the split cost is reserved again.

If you are already signed in, opening Demuze or the saved app goes straight to Split. You do not stop on the home page first.

On a user page, Delete user turns into a check on a red button — click that to confirm. That stops a single miss-click from removing the account.

On the hosted site, a file under your plan’s size — Free, Pro, and Studio start at 500 MB — no longer fails with too large for the server. That message is only for a file around 2 GB or larger, before Split can check your plan.

After you sign in, Settings in the header is a gear. Open it for YouTube connection — Off, Proxy URL, or Tailscale — and How to set up a Tailscale exit node.

If YouTube connection is Off, the YouTube button on Split shows a warning icon. Open it for How to set up a Tailscale exit node. Settings has the same steps. When YouTube would not send this video and hop is still Off, that error also links the guide.

After you sign in, Usage in the header is a pie with a light ring that fills with what you have used this month. Hover it for tokens and stored files. Click it to open Plans. The Usage page still has the token ledger.

After you sign in as an admin, Admin in the header is a shield. On a small phone it stays in Menu.

On Usage, a Tailscale auth key is stored encrypted and never shown again. Paste a new key only if you want to replace it.

On Usage, Check hop for Tailscale now fails if the hop is up but not using your exit node. Advertise that device as an exit node and approve it in Tailscale, then check again.

On Usage, choose Proxy URL or Tailscale, save, then paste a link on Split. Look-up and download use that hop. The rest of Demuze stays on the site address.

Look-up and download no longer go through a site hop. Off talks to YouTube from the server. Set Proxy URL or Tailscale on Usage if you want your own connection.

Split and Jobs show when a job started as day, month, year, and 24-hour time. The list no longer flashes a different date after the page loads.

When Admin Overview shows Proxy On, look-up and download send YouTube through the home Tailscale connection and skip the extra check so YouTube sees one home address.

The new Demuze logo appears in the header, home page, Sign in, browser tab, saved app icon, and link previews.

If a file upload or YouTube start fails before the job is created — for example when the connection drops — Split shows the error and Extract vocals is available again instead of staying on Uploading or Starting.

On the hosted site, choosing a file on Split no longer fails before the job starts when the file is larger than about 1 MB. The hosted site allows up to 2 GB. Split then checks your plan limit — Free, Pro, and Studio start at 500 MB.

On the hosted site, an admin can turn on a youtube-proxy service so YouTube look-up and download go through a home Tailscale exit node. The rest of the site stays on the server address. Admin Overview shows whether that proxy is on.

Admin Overview shows the look-up mode, whether a cookies file is present, whether the extra check is up, and whether a proxy is on.

If YouTube refuses a pasted link, Demuze tries again with a cookies file when one is on the server. You can still download the file yourself and use File.

On Split, Jobs, and the job page, a finished video split now has Download vocals-only audio next to Download vocals-only video. The audio file is the same vocals soundtrack, without the picture.

When you paste a YouTube link on Split, Demuze includes the extra check YouTube asks for so more links can load. If YouTube still will not send the video, try the link again in a few minutes, or download it yourself and use File.

A finished YouTube split could say the vocals file was no longer stored. Download vocals now gets the finished file.

On Jobs or the job page, use the trash icon to delete a split. It turns into a check on a red button — click that to confirm. That removes the job and both stored files. You cannot delete a job while a worker is still running it. If it is under 50%, stop it first.

On Split, Jobs, and the job page, you can download the file you uploaded, not only the vocals result.

Choose YouTube, paste a link, and pick a format. Formats appear once the link is a single video. The job downloads that file and isolates vocals the same way as an upload. YouTube jobs add 50 tokens on top of the usual split cost. Formats larger than your plan’s file size limit stay in the list but cannot be chosen.

On Split, Jobs, and the job page, you see the exact step — saving the upload, waiting for a worker, separating vocals, and so on — and the percent as text, not only a bar.

On Split and Jobs, each row shows how large the uploaded or YouTube file is, and how large the vocals file is once it is ready.

After you paste a YouTube link, formats sit on Video and Audio tabs. Each tab has a Suggested choice at the top. Video prefers 720p so you keep the picture without a huge file. Audio prefers a ~128 kbps M4A — vocals do not need the picture, and audio costs half the tokens of video.

On Split, paste a watch or youtu.be link. After a short pause, formats appear on their own. You do not press Look up formats.

On Split, Jobs, and the job page, a YouTube split shows the watch URL. Open it from the list or the job page to go back to that video.

On Split, Jobs, and the job page, Download original video or Download original audio appears as soon as the YouTube file is on the server and the split starts. You do not wait until the vocals are ready.

On Jobs or the job page, stop a YouTube split before 50%. If the file is already on the server, the 50 download tokens stay charged and only the split tokens come back. You can still download that original file.

On Split, Jobs, and the job page, Downloading from YouTube moves from 1% toward 100% as the file comes in. If the format is video plus audio, the percent covers both parts.

A YouTube job holds 50 tokens as soon as the download begins, then adds the split cost from the look-up length so it does not wait for the file to finish. After the file is on the server, Demuze updates that reservation if the real length or type is different. If the job fails, the reservation is released.

On Split, you can paste youtube.com/watch?v=… or a share link with extra tags after the id. Demuze still finds the video.

A YouTube job that needed both picture and sound could fail even after those files were already on the server. Demuze now finishes combining them so the split can start.

Free, Pro, Studio, and Unlimited all start at 1 GB of stored originals and results. Usage shows how much you are using. When you reach the limit, Demuze removes the oldest files first so new work can stay. An admin can change that cap on Plans.

On Split, pick Standard or Extra clean before you upload. Extra clean runs more passes so leftover band is usually quieter. It costs twice the tokens and takes longer. Jobs and Usage show which one you picked.

Every split now uses the stronger vocal model and two passes. The first job after this change may take a few minutes while that model finishes setting up.

Open Jobs in the header. You get a list of your uploads with status and percent. The list updates while a job is running. Open a row to download or see the error.

Split still saves your file right away. A worker reads the length, reserves tokens, then splits. If you do not have enough tokens left this month, the job fails and nothing is charged.

On Split and Jobs, a completed job has a download icon. Open the job for Download vocals-only video or Download vocals-only audio.

On a completed job, Download vocals no longer fails if the original name has Arabic or other non-English letters. The file still saves as your name plus -vocals.

Upload a video on Split. Demuze isolates the vocals, then puts that soundtrack back on the same video. The picture is unchanged, and the download uses the original audio compression so the file stays about the same size or smaller.

Open Split or Jobs. Your uploads list loads instead of an error.

On Users and Plans, Edit is an icon with a tooltip. Other action buttons also show an icon next to the label.

Open Plans to see every plan in a table. Add plan or Edit opens a dialog for name, price, tokens, and upload size. Tick Unlimited to turn off a quota.

On Usage, upgrade to Pro for $20 a month, Studio for $40, or Unlimited for $1,000. Cancel keeps that plan until the paid period ends, then you go back to Free.

On Plans, set monthly tokens or max upload MB to -1 to turn off that cap. Unlimited uses -1 for both. Usage shows Unlimited instead of a leftover count.

An admin sets the monthly US dollar price on Plans. The first Upgrade creates the matching Stripe product and price. Usage then checks the saved checkout, not only a Stripe webhook.

On Plans, tick Unlimited for monthly tokens or max upload MB. The form no longer blocks -1.

On Split, drop an audio or video file onto Drop a mix. The card highlights, then shows the file name so you can extract vocals.

If Demuze no longer has your account, Split and Usage open Sign in instead of an error. Continue with Google to create a Free plan account again.

Your plan now includes a per-file size limit, not only monthly tokens. Free, Pro, and Studio start at 500 MB. Split and Usage show the limit. An admin can change it on Plans.

On Plans, each box is labeled — id, name, monthly tokens, and max upload size — so the numbers are easier to tell apart.

Continue with Google should open Google, then bring you back to the Demuze address you opened and Split. You should not be left on a second API address.

Open Admin. Each running worker appears on Overview as soon as it starts. You can add more workers without pointing them at the website.

Upload on Split. The next free worker takes the job from the queue. Workers no longer call the website to pick up work, so a wrong internal address cannot leave jobs sitting queued.

Sign in and Continue with Google were picking up grey or white text from the page around them. Those amber buttons now use the dark label they were meant to have.

Look for the spaceship next to What's new. It fills and lifts off when a version is waiting. Open What's new and it settles back to an outline. Latest releases on that page wear the same ship.

Open Split, upload a song or a video, and Demuze returns the same file with vocals only. The first job may take a few minutes while models finish setting up.

Continue with Google to get a Free plan. Audio uses 1 token per second and video uses 2. Open Usage to see what is left this month.

If your Google email is in the admin list, open Admin to see live jobs, users, and monthly token quotas.
